42nd Street

This new 42nd Street is like no other version you’ve ever seen! This revolutionary revival takes the classic musical about wide-eyed Peggy Sawyer from Allentown, PA and her dreams of being on Broadway and brilliantly re-imagines it for a 21st century audience. With hit songs like “We’re in the Money,” “About A Quarter To Nine,” You’re Getting to Be a Habit With Me” and “Lullaby of Broadway,” this is a production that reflects Broadway of today with a racially diverse cast, funk-jazz orchestrations, and jaw-dropping tap dancing. Theater critic Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune called it “A production for the ages.”

This new production is directed by Michael Heitzman with choreography by Jared Grimes. Following a smash success at Chicago’s Drury Lane Theatre, this production is now playing at the Ordway Center in Minneapolis through August 11, 2019.
