Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax

The Old Vic production of Dr. Seuss’s THE LORAX is a new production, adapted for the stage by David Greig with music and lyrics by Charlie Fink. THE LORAX is a brilliant riot of eye-popping color, gorgeous puppetry and infectious music to enchant adults and children alike.

This dazzlingly funny, moving, and inspiring show sees the go-getting Once-ler come face to face with the magical, irrepressible, big-hearted, mustachioed critter Lorax in a battle over the beloved truffula trees and the whole of Paradise Valley.

This stage adaptation of THE LORAX had its World Premiere at The Old Vic and was instantly acclaimed by both critics and audiences. Due to popular demand it returned to Old Vic run in the fall of 2017 prior to an acclaimed engagement in Toronto which sold to 97% of capacity. THE LORAX will be presented in Minneapolis from April 15 – June 10, 2018, followed by San Diego July 2 – August 12, 2018. Additional engagements are being planned.

THE LORAX is adapted for the stage by David Greig, music and Lyrics by Charlie Fink, direction by Max Webster, design by Rob Howell, choreography by Drew McOnie, lighting design by Jon Clark, sound design by Tom Gibbons, puppetry direction & design by Finn Caldwell, puppetry design by Nick Barnes, and musical supervision & arrangement by Phil Bateman.
