From the creator of the smash-hit television series, DESIGNING WOMEN is a raucous new comedy bringing Julia, Suzanne, Mary Jo, and Charlene to the stage. It’s 2020, and the ladies of Sugarbaker’s design firm find themselves on the verge of a radical decision to sell the business and separate. Channeling the series’ one-of-a-kind trademark voice, the friends and co-workers responding to their own differences and to the insanity of the world around them with the same whip-smart and unmistakably Southern brand of humor. This new play by Linda Bloodworth Thomason, directed by Harry Thomason, proves that nothing unites us like laughter.

In fall 2021, DESIGNING WOMEN was presented in both Fayetteville and Little Rock, and ticket sales exceeded musicals on their seasons such as Once and Matilda.

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

“If you were a fan of the television show Designing Women back in the 80s and early 90s (which I was), this show is for you. If you were not watching tv back then, this is still for you.”

“Witty, sassy, sexy, and I wished that there was a follow-up episode”
